Advice for parents
Remember to equip your child according to their needs:
- Get insured that your child is equipped with skis and boots adapted to his/her size and level. Poles are only necessary from 2ème Étoile level upwards.
- Helmets are strongly recommended for all lessons.
- Depending on the level of the course, your child must have a valid ski pass.
- Dress your child according to the weather to protect them from the cold (gloves, hat, warm jacket, etc.).
- Slip a small snack into their pocket, ideal for a quick break!
- Parents' mobile phone numbers are required in case of minor problems.
Please bring the following items in a small bag (only for SUPERKIDS) with the child's name on it:
- A change of clothes for indoors.
- A pair of sunglasses,
- A cuddly toy if needed for a nap,
- After-skis (for outdoor activities),
- Sun cream,
- Nappies if necessary
- Don't forget to fill in the health form !
- You will be asked to provide a health record and proof of your child's age.
Important information:
- Programmes and timetables may be changed during the season by theESF.
- Weather conditions and ski lift breakdowns cannot be blamed on the instructors.
- The actual duration of lessons may be reduced for reasons beyond our control. No refunds will be made.
- During the February school holidays, enrolments are by the week with a minimum of 6 half-days.
- Courses do not include accident or cancellation insurance. Check your personal insurance policy or take out the optional Carré Neige when you purchase your course.
- Your child's photo may be taken during group lessons by our resort photographer ARVAN PHOTO. If you do not wish this to happen, please inform your child's instructor at the beginning of the week.

Please note: The ski pass is not included in the price of the lessons, unless otherwise stated. Get insured in advance to make the most of your experience.
A few tips
For children :
- SUPERKIDS: No ski pass required for the week.
- Club Piou Piou / Beginner / Ourson : No ski pass required for the first lesson, then check with the instructor on a day-to-day basis.
- Flocon Preparation: Ski pass required for the first day, then check with the instructor on a day-to-day basis. However, if your child skis with you outside their ESF lessons, we recommend the Sybelles week ski pass.
- Preparation for 1ère Étoile up to Competition level: The Sybelles ski pass is recommended.
For adults :
- Beginner: No ski pass is required on the first day, check with the instructor on a day-to-day basis.
- Classes 1, 2 and 3: The Sybelles weekly ski pass is recommended.
- Snow Beginner : No ski pass required for the first lesson, then check with the instructor on a day-to-day basis.
- Snow 1, 2 and 3 and 2ème Étoile preparation: The Sybelles weekly ski pass is recommended.
Note: Only the Sybelles ski pass is available for sale for the week.

Please note: As students are not insured by the ESF, we recommend that you take out insurance. Weoffer you Carré Neige to provide you with all the insurance and assistance cover you need in the event of an accident during your stay.

HOW DOES THIS INSURANCE WORK?
What happens in the event of an accident? Carré Neige covers expenses incurred if you call on the services of professionals to rescue or search for you, or to provide you with first aid.
The advantages of Carré Neige :
- Rescue and evacuation,
- Reimbursement of ski passes and lessons,
- Additional cover: reimbursement of medical, pharmaceutical and hospitalisation expenses in addition to those covered by compulsory health insurance; legal defence and legal action cover; ski damage,
- Repatriation.
Reimbursement of ski lessons (see detailed conditions on the website):
- In the event of an accident resulting in the insured being unable to ski,
- In the event of illness,
- In the event of the early return of the insured's family,
- In the event of the repatriation of the Carré Neige holder,
- If the ski lifts are out of service for more than 5 consecutive hours,
- To one (and only one) parent with a Carré Neige who has to look after an injured child with a Carré Neige,
- In the event of a ski lift stoppage due to bad weather lasting more than 1 day over more than 80% of the ski area's capacity.
What should I do if I need to be repatriated?
- Beyond 150 km, if your state of health requires it, you can request repatriation by calling Europ Assistance on 01 41 85 85 96.
- Less than 150 km and on the day of the accident: in order to obtain cover or reimbursement, you can contact the Carré Neige management centre on 04 79 07 36 11 or 04 79 07 36 12.
How do I get reimbursed for ski lessons?
- Complete the claim form available on the Carré Neige website or in Carré Neige sales outlets within 8 days and send it, along with supporting documents, to the following address:
DIOT Montagne - Assurances Carré Neige - BP 19 - 73 704 Bourg Saint Maurice Cedex - France - Attach the following supporting documents:
- Original ski pass (and/or proof of purchase of the ski pass and Carré Neige).
- Initial medical certificate from the doctor specifying the nature of the injury and whether or not you are unable to ski.

To ensure that the course runs smoothly
To ensure a pleasant and optimal experience, please follow these few rules:
Sales conditions:
- Download your lesson cards from the MY ESF app so that you can show them to the instructors at the start of your session. The lesson cards are personal and cannot be transferred or exchanged.
- Arrive at the meeting point well in advance:
- Group lessons: under the sign indicating the objective to be achieved.
- Private lessons: under the Private lessons sign.
Any delay will be deducted from the duration of the course. - Get insured with a valid ski pass to access the slopes during the lesson.
- For your comfort and safety, dress according to the weather conditions and make sure you are well equipped.
- TheESF declines all responsibility in the event of accidents, whether material or physical, occurring to students during lessons.
- TheESF reserves the right to cancel or regroup lessons if the number of participants is less than 5.
- TheESF cannot be held responsible for the vagaries of the weather, ski lift breakdowns or any other incident beyond our control.
